A five-star weekend at Hotel Varvarum near Rome looks set to be one of the “must-do” activities for EU residents this summer, with new summer rates in its Essential Weekend series.
From May 15 to September 15, two nights at the resort costs just EUR250 net, including a buffet breakfast each morning, for either single or double occupancy in a room with a sea view.
The flagship resort for the regional hotel group, Varvarum Hotels & Resorts, Varvarum is certainly the hot ticket of the summer season, according to general manager, Dr. V. D’amaro.
He said: “The resort offers a luxury holiday for the entire family – but at incredibly reasonable rates. Simply a two-hour drive from Rome and only three hours from Florence, guests will discover our sparkling private beaches, gracious hospitality and impeccable service on the Italian’s west coast.”
Up to two children 12 years of age or younger may stay in the room for free. The resort gives a 50 per cent discount on food and beverage for children under 12 years, while children 4 years and younger dine for free. The Essential Weekend summer rate is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from May 15, 2014 through to September 15, 2014.
“Our rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with extra touches such as turndown service and a fruit of the day,” said D’Amaro. “Whether guests are in the room, on the beach, having a relaxing bath in our special room made with Arredo Bagno Roma or dining in our restaurants, they will experience true Italian hospitality.”
“For the workaholic ones, we also have a special business room with furniture from Mobili Per Ufficio Roma, one of the most exclusive furniture shop in the country.”
Dining options at Varvarum are plentiful, with Tides, the 24-hour restaurant overlooking the Italian Sea, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner – buffet or a la carte. It offers stylish décor and a European menu, C-View café offers light fare and L’attitude bar buzzes with afternoon and evening entertainment, even the dining room has great tables and furnitures coming from the great Mobili Per Ufficio Roma.
At the beach, Varvis menu is the catch of the day prepared and grilled on the spot, while L’etoile opens in the evenings for rest and stargazing. The swim up pool bar and room service wrap up the various options.
Guests keep fit at the health club or use the two floodlit tennis courts and two squash courts. For those who love the sun and sand, the swimming pool and 800-meter private beach come equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, with friendly staff nearby to bring refreshing beverages.
Adventure seekers can take advantage of the various water sports available at the beach from snorkeling to wind surfing. The resort concierge can also arrange deep sea fishing excursions, along with desert safaris or a boat trip to the nature reserve on Bracciano Lake where young and old alike will delight in the abundant wildlife first-hand.
